Hello, hello, helloooo!

Organ News:

This past week I went to start up the M100 and a faint but all too familiar sound started to emit from the speakers. The dreaded 60 cycle hum. So now my organ playing is on hold until I can get a hold of some new electrolytics.
After finally unpacking everything after moving, we came across an interesting pile of stuff. Now my grandfather had worked for Kodak for 30 years, and he was always bringing home stuff from work, so we found in our boxes 2 (that's TWO) Kodak carousel slide projectors and about a dozen carousels all completely filled (and about 20 empty ones!). So we baked a cake, shut off the lights and pointed the projetor at a wall. And within the first few slides came a wonderful sight. My mother at 16, playing the Hammond A101. I was thrilled! For over a year we could not figure out what model she had, I originally thought it was a D152, but now the picture gives the proof (along with a 251 leslie). Sometime I'm going to set up a youtube video of the projector so you guys can see it.

I have drawn up formal plans for a leslie speaker. It includes a schematic, Contruction diagrams, and component list. This idea has been boiling in my head for about a year, so starting in january it is time to bring it to culmination.

Radio News:

A have a Philco 40-140 coming in a radio shipment in a couple weeks. Should be a nice set to work on, so long as it doesn't have that blasted rubber wiring (and it probably will).

Other news:

I have been quite busy with school. As such I have been overloaded with work. I have a paper due on the battle of Waterloo at the end of the semester (I've spent approximately 12-14 hours of research at the library alone so far) so I'll try to get more stuff up whenever I can. I have managed to submit some traditional work instead of photography (seeing as I am a better artist than photographer).

Hi, I am an Vacuum tube fanatic and I have some questions for you, please respond as soon as possible.
Excellent gallery by the way!
Have you ever heard of Camerin Carpenter? He is a vertuoso organist and I DA keeps screwing up the url when I try to post it. Just go to You Tube and search "Camerin Carpenter". Then click on his video entitled "Revolutionsetüde, op.10". This guy's pedalpoint is amazing!

LOL Cameron Carpenter was the butt of a few jokes at the Organ Forum awhile back.

I see. Hmm... come to think of it, he did seem a little bit flashy. BTW - if you get a chance, check out these two old radios I took photos of recently. And this cool hot-rod. I know they aren't much, I don't have all the awesome descriptions you do as I don't have enough information. Take a look.
